Caban is Growing! Featured

Written by

It is our pleasure to announce our new Cabanite,  Lizelle Coombs.  Lizelle is the founder and co-owner of  Admin House Small Business Services, which was established in 2000. The main objectives of this franchise-based company is to support SMME’s in their back office with accounting, bookkeeping, tax, administrative and other related services. Building a sustainable SMME and entrepreneurial environment in South Africa can only work if entrepreneurs are nurtured during start-up and growth phases and then continuously supported with practical and relevant advice and services. This is certainly the vision and mission of Caban Admin House.

Lizelle is passionate about empowering people and has developed a range of business workshops for entrepreneurs and business owners. She also holds various office management, software and skills certificates and is an internal ISO quality auditor (QMS, documentation). Formally she holds a bachelors degree in social anthropology and psychology and has years of experience in marketing, public relations, project and event management, office administration and human resources.

As current chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce, Southern Peninsula Branch, Lizelle works closely with the local business community to share valuable business related information, create networking opportunities and in general, support SMME’s and entrepreneurs in their quest for building sustainable businesses to the betterment of our economy.

Her passion in assisting entrepreneurs is a perfect fit for Caban.

Acquisitions

With effect from the 1st of July, we have acquired 50% of Admin house and Entrepreneur Expo from Lizelle in exchange for Caban shares.
Admin House will be a service provider that will complement TBL Accounting.  Check out their website on www.theadminhouse.co.za. The company has been re-branded as Caban Admin House.  This company provides bookkeeping and administration services for small business on a franchise basis. They have also developed a starter kit for entrepreneurs. TBL Capital (Pty) Ltd services will now be marketed through the franchisees expanding the company’s exposure to grass roots start ups.

The Entrepreneur Expo will be housed under Dylan James Media (Pty) Ltd. This showcase expo will bring entrepreneurs and angel investors under one roof.  It will also showcase products and services of entrepreneurs in the area.

Dylan James Media (Pty) Ltd

Dylan James Media has grown over the past month by acquiring shares in two events;  Entrepreneur Expo and The Best AdviceConvention. This is a substantial achievement and will become a strong income-generator for Caban. More details of these events will be posted on a separate blog.

BBBEE Initiative

This initiative is in full swing and now into the second month. We are proud that we are empowering individuals that are driven and want to make a real contribution to entrepreneurs. They are already adding value to Caban and are reaching a stage where they are slowly emulating Caban’s mantra.

Re-organisation

Through the rapid expansion of the company which now comprises 19 companies and operations, we have organised the company into four Clusters:

• Financial Cluster headed up by me
• Creative Cluster headed up by Dylan James
• Renewable Energy Cluster headed up by Rolf Seeliger
• Investment Cluster headed up by me.

A sales cluster is in the process of being established and will be known as Caban Enterprises. The purpose of this company is to market Caban and its clients’ products and services. We will expand on this in our next newsletter.

Caban Clients

We have paused for the month of July.  We believe administration is critical to a company’s success. The Cabanites are hard at work getting all paperwork up to date, while maintaining high sales volumes through our various companies.

We are at present negotiating with a number of new clients.

We are excited about our progress and the impact we are having on the entrepreneurial landscape.

CEO
